In a famine, Raphael, the Emperor's royal chef, falls off a cliff and wakes up in the modern world. Taken in by restaurant owner Clara, he starts as a kitchen helper with meals and pay. Traveling between two worlds, he uses modern supplies to save his starving family while amazing diners with his imperial cooking. As Raphael rises to culinary fame, Clara's little restaurant becomes the hottest place in town.
